Last Sunday I heard a sermon on Dreaming Big and it made me think about how the dream of Worldcomp came into being. The Scripture says, “when the Lord pours out His Spirit, young men will see visions and old men will dream dreams.” From this we understand that God wants to give His people vision and dreams. In my case my first impression of God’s dream was not exactly “good news”. As a matter of fact it was not something I had faith for. Fortunately, I have had enough experiences in life to understand that sometimes we don’t have a dream, but the dream has us. And this is the way the Worldcomp dream has unfolded. The dream came from God and took hold of us. It has been literally running ahead of us for the past 15 years and dragging us forward. We have watched as God’s dream has unfolded before us in one project after another. This last December our Worldcomp Leaders stood in front of the New Children’s Home and wondered “How in the world did we do this?” The simple answer! We didn’t! So just a word of encouragement: When God gives you a dream, “say yes!” and watch Him go to work.
In a few days Valerie and I will be headed back to Kenya with a team of 9 people. During this visit will doing Medical Camps in 5 different locations, but we will also visit all our our projects around the country. Please keep us in your prayers. Pray especially for our health and safe travels.
