From time to time things come up that are not in the budget and many of you have given me permission to ask you when special needs come up. Pastor Simeon Obayo and I would like to host a 3-day retreat for 50 – 75 pastors and their wives to focus on Family Relationships and How to Lead a Church in these turbulent times.
As many of you know, the Kenyan culture is very hard on the family. Men and women are often separated from each other and from their kids for long periods of time. In addition to that there are things in the Kenyan culture that make it difficult for couples to find the kind of love that the Lord wants a couple to experience in life.
Most of these pastors are very poor so we would like to ask them for very little. The retreat will cost just over $5000. I think I can take several thousand out of the Worldcomp General Fund, but I need the help of some of you who think that this is a worthy cause. We only have a short period of time to organize this event, so if you feel a response to help us in this I need to hear from you right away.
