Children’s Feeding Programs
For the past 13 years Worldcomp has been providing free hot breakfast and lunch to 725 children prepared and served by our volunteer staff. For most of these children this is the only food they get during any given day. Studies show that children who are hungry do not learn well and their health deteriorates over time.
Free Education for Children
Worldcomp has two schools in the slums of Nairobi that provide tuition free education to 675 children. In spite of being slum schools, our schools rank at the top of the charts in academic and scholastic achievement.
Free Medical Camps for the Poor
Each year WorldCOMP sponsors medical camps all over the nation of Kenya that serve the poor both in the cities and in remote villages. We serve people who have no access to medical care and cannot afford medical services. Since 2009 we have treated over 90,000 patients and many lives have been saved. Our medical camps are staff by volunteer medics from all over Kenya and from the USA. Services include free exams, free medicine, free eye exams and glasses, free dental services, along with free immunizations for all children. The Kenyan Ministry of Health has declared that WorldCOMP’s medical camps are the best run medical camps in Kenya.
Micro-Finance for Windows and Poor Women
Worldcomp has 3 revolving microfinance funds that provide small loans to help widows and poor women start businesses to support their families. In the past 5 years we have provided funds to start over 250 businesses and many of these businesses have grown to provide employment for other women in need.
Clean Water – Community Wells
Perhaps the most vital essential of life is clean water. Bad water responsible for thousands of deaths, especially among children. With this is view, Worldcomp began digging wells in 2009. Our wells are large community wells that provide clean water to whole communities that have no access to free clean water. Our first well in the city of Kimbo, now serves over 10,000 people a day.
Juvenile Boys Rehabilitation
In 2006 WorldCOMP Kenya has teamed up with the Shikusa Boys Detention Center in Kakamega Kenya to provide Christ centered rehabilitation to 400 teenage boys. Our contributions have provided a vast number of vital needs including: basic education, a library, a dispensary, health check ups, beds, bedding and mattresses, a state of art computer lab, a sport court, sports equipment, hygiene products and, most important, bible teaching and spiritual inspiration.
Home of Grace Children’s Home
In December 2018 The WorldCOMP Home of Grace opened its doors and has room for 120 children. This 5 story building will be the home of hundreds of children over the years; children who will be rescued from lives of abuse and absolute poverty and given a new life of hope, health and love. Our children’s home is run with efficiency and with love.
